A growing national Hotel and Resort Management Group seeks an experienced Corporate Controller with significant Resort experience for a Resort in the upper Midwest. The ideal candidate will possess a strong tenure at full-service Resort properties. Duties:

·      Assist Accountants with the month-end close

·      Coordinate year-end information transfer to the CPA of all entities

·      Report Revenue by the 3rd of each month –

·      Payroll needs to be sent to the Bank for wire and will need to be approved by

·      Review all Sales Bonus payouts, ensure that proper verified backup is on file, and is approved

·      Execute Weekly email A/P report & reconciliation

·      Review AP Open item reports weekly for invoices to be paid

·      Generate Cash Forecasts

·      Initiate review of financial statements of accountants, provide trend reports, noting any questions, and return to the accountant to research

Qualifications:

·      A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is preferred with a minimum of five years of related experience in all Accounting aspects or 1 year as a Controller. A combination of education and experience equivalent to a B.A. or B.S. degree in accounting is preferred.

·      To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Organizational ability is paramount as annual audits of the books need supporting backups that can be easily accessed. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Working knowledge of all areas of accounting (A/R, A/P, Payroll, collections, inventory control, credit, etc.) 

·      Prior Resort or Hotel Accounting experience is a MUST
