In search of a Program Director who is a visionary leader responsible for driving the development, execution, and continuous enhancement of a supportive housing program tailored to individuals with behavioral health and housing stability needs. This pivotal role requires strategic oversight of operations, ensuring seamless program delivery and adherence to regulatory requirements.
Program Director Responsibilities:
- Oversee client admissions, eligibility screenings, and coordination with the Single Point of Access (SPA)
- Ensure full compliance with NYS Office of Mental Health (OMH), SPA, and other regulatory requirements
- Maintain occupancy targets and oversee documentation related to resident eligibility and housing compliance
- Administer LIHTC and AHP regulations, managing certifications and required reporting
- Collaborate with property management and finance teams to address maintenance, safety, and budgetary concerns
- Provide on-call crisis management and ensure swift resolution of emergencies
- Coordinate staffing needs during transitions, guaranteeing continuity of care
Program Director Requirements:
- Education: Master’s degree in Social Work, Rehabilitation Counseling, or a related human services field
- Experience: At least 5 years in residential or supportive housing, serving individuals with behavioral health or special needs
- Leadership: Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or management role, guiding multidisciplinary teams
- Crisis Management: Proven ability to navigate complex systems and respond effectively to emergencies
- Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities to drive program success
- Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of housing regulations, entitlement systems, and behavioral health service models
