We are looking for a skilled RF Propagation Modeler to join our team. You will be responsible for creating accurate 2D and 3D RF propagation models using various software, including Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) applications. Your work will model how RF energy interacts with physical environments using established algorithms.
In this role, you'll ensure the accuracy of the models and communicate your findings clearly to those without a technical background. You'll also convert these models into geospatial formats for engineering and operational use.
RF Propagation Modeler Responsibilities:
- Create 2D and 3D RF propagation models using a variety of software.
- Use established algorithms to model RF energy interactions like diffraction, refraction, and reflection.
- Consider different landscapes and materials to assess frequency interactions with the environment.
- Document and validate RF models and inputs, making them easy to understand for non-experts.
- Convert RF models into geospatial formats for decision-making on the Sponsor’s enclave.
RF Propagation Modeler Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A senior candidate would require a minimum of 7 years.
- A TS/SCI with FSP security clearance is required.
- Experience in creating 2D and 3D RF propagation models.
- Proficiency with COTS, GOTS, and custom RF software.
- Strong understanding of RF energy interactions with physical environments.
- Ability to document and explain RF models to non-technical teams.
- Experience converting RF models into geospatial formats.
RF Propagation Modeler Desired Qualifications:
- Familiarity with RF propagation software tools.
- Knowledge of geospatial data formats.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical teams.
