We’re seeking a high-caliber Commercial Roofing Operations Manager to take full ownership of our commercial roofing operations, from bidding to project execution. This is a career-defining opportunity for a seasoned leader with deep industry expertise, exceptional management skills, and the ability to optimize processes, grow teams, and drive results.
Commercial Roofing Operations Manager Pay and Benefits:
- Salary: $140K – $215K
- Performance Bonus
- Full Benefits Package (Medical, Dental, Vision)
- 401(k) with 3% Contribution

Commercial Roofing Operations Manager Responsibilities:
Daily Operational Planning
- Lead scheduling and assignment of field staff to ensure optimal coverage and efficiency.
- Oversee communication to the team regarding scheduling locations, job assignments, and expectations.
- Monitor and adjust daily operational plans to align with project timelines and resource availability.
Customer Communication
- Serve as the primary contact for communicating daily scheduling updates with customers.
- Ensure all operational customer updates are sent out in a timely manner, in a format that aligns with company standards.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients by proactively addressing concerns and ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
Oversight and Insight
- Track daily progress on production work, ensuring projects stay on schedule and meet quality standards.
- Implement technology solutions to enhance daily and weekly reporting, providing real-time insights into performance.
- Use data-driven insights to identify opportunities for operational improvements and workflow optimizations.
Warehouse Management
- Oversee internal warehousing processes to align with daily operations and project demands.
- Optimize scheduling and logistics to improve efficiency in company vehicle usage, material tracking, and inventory management.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and distribution of materials to maximize job site productivity.
Internal Operations & Leadership
- Create and manage reporting systems to track key operational metrics and drive data-informed decision-making.
- Lead weekly operational planning meetings, ensuring alignment across departments and continuous process improvements.
- Mentor and develop a team of operations managers and staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and high performance.
- Serve as a key bridge between departments, providing real-time insights into performance, areas of growth, and operational focus.
Financial & Performance Accountability
- Control budgets, labor costs, material orders, and job profitability while ensuring all projects are delivered on time and exceed expectations.
- Drive efficiency across all operational areas, focusing on cost management, resource allocation, and financial performance tracking.
Safety & Compliance
- Maintain the highest safety standards, oversee training, and ensure regulatory compliance at all job sites.
- Conduct regular safety audits and enforce best practices to mitigate risks and maintain compliance with OSHA and industry regulations.
Commercial Roofing Operations Manager Requirements:
- Expert-Level Commercial Roofing Knowledge – Deep understanding of estimating, bidding, and executing commercial roofing projects (TPO, PVC, BUR, etc.).
- Proven Leadership in Operations – Experience leading and scaling operations in commercial roofing, construction, or a related industry.
- Strong People Management – A leader who can develop, motivate, and manage high-performing teams.
- Excellent Communication & Problem-Solving Skills – Ability to communicate across all levels, internally and externally, to drive efficiency and execution.
- Data-Driven & Results-Oriented – Skilled in financial oversight, budgeting, and optimizing margins while maintaining high-quality output.
- Tech-Savvy & Process-Minded – Comfortable leveraging technology to improve efficiency and streamline operations.
