Network Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, and manage complex IPsec tunnel implementations (Palo Alto and Cisco)
  • Develop and maintain a robust understanding of the OSI model to troubleshoot and optimize performance
  • Configure and manage Layer 1 and Layer 2 switching using Cisco and Juniper equipment
  • Support, configure, and troubleshoot Border Gateway Protocol (BGP)
  • Implement and maintain network security measures, including device hardening and intrusion detection
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop network strategies and address challenges
  • Document configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures

Network Engineer Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in related fields
  • Advanced knowledge of the OSI model and routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
  • Experience with Cisco and Juniper devices and IPsec tunnels
  • Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent
  • U.S. Citizenship and be able to obtain SECRET to TOP SECRET security clearance
