We are seeking a Director of Catering and Events with experience in high-volume, luxury environments to join our team. This position oversees events of various sizes (from 10 to 3000 people) across different locations on our property.

Director of Catering and Events Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of Director level catering and event planning experience in a luxury hotel, resort or private club
  • High-volume and off-site event and catering experience required
  • Strong tenure is required
  • For scale: events exceed 1200 annually
  • Polished ability to be in a high-level client-facing role
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to be creative and think critically
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work with a diverse team
  • Flexible to work evenings, weekends, holidays and extended hours due to business needs

Director of Catering and Events Duties:

  • Work closely with the F&B Director, Culinary Director and Director of Banquets
  • Develop proposals taking guests’ vision and budget into account
  • Ensure quotes are accurate and all the details are captured correctly
  • Build strong relationships with vendors, planners and clients
  • Set up weekly BEO meetings
  • Extensive expertise in off-site catering, including pre-event planning, and coordination of both small and large-scale events
