We are looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to accelerate revenue growth in AI-powered solutions and enterprise software. This remote position is centered on acquiring new clients across sectors such as financial services, cybersecurity, and high-performance computing. The right candidate will craft strategic sales initiatives, cultivate strong industry relationships, and utilize market intelligence to anticipate emerging trends. Additionally, they will work closely with marketing and product teams to ensure sales approaches align with evolving customer demands.

Senior Business Development Manager Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field
  • A minimum of 10 years in business development with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets
  • At least 2 years of experience selling engineering technology applications to public institutions
  • Demonstrated success in securing six and seven-figure deals within a designated territory
  • Familiarity with UK and European tendering and contracting procedures
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while achieving team objectives in the public sector
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with experience interacting with executive leadership
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple global locations
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to devise appropriate solutions for clients
  • Fluency in English
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time

Senior Business Development Manager Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within public institutions at the European or UK level
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders in public administration, ensuring a deep understanding of their needs to provide tailored solutions
  • Develop and deliver compelling presentations that highlight the advantages of the products and services over competitors
  • Oversee the preparation and coordination of bids and proposals, ensuring all documentation is thorough and submitted promptly
  • Assist in contract and grant agreement negotiations, facilitating a smooth transition to the technical team post-signature
  • Engage in all phases of the sales process, from initial contact to closing deals
  • Collaborate with sales and technical teams to stay updated on product capabilities, success stories, and effective strategies
  • Represent the company at industry events and conventions to promote our solutions.
  • Organize and manage technical support for demonstrations, proofs of concept, evaluations, and training sessions
  • Relay client feedback to product development and marketing teams to inform continuous improvement
