Culinary Manager– St. Thomas Airport, US Virgin Islands

Position Details:

  • Menu: Casual Grill items and Local Cuisine in a Fast Casual, Counter Service Environment
  • Hours: 6am to 5pm daily
  • Volume: $9 million in sales
  • Bonus: Pooled based on EBITA!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage high-volume kitchen operations in a fast-paced airport environment.
  • Oversee and execute a basic grill menu (e.g., burgers, sandwiches, grilled proteins) and local Caribbean dishes.
  • Lead, train, and inspire a team of kitchen staff in a casual dining atmosphere.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and airport-specific regulations.
  • Handle inventory, budgeting, cost controls, and scheduling efficiently.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff and airport management to ensure smooth operations.
  • Prepare to work in global airport locations by obtaining a security clearance and passing a criminal background check.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager, Executive Chef, or similar role in a high-volume setting.
  • Familiarity with grill menus and Caribbean cuisine.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Eligibility to pass a criminal background check and obtain a security clearance.
