Seeking a licensed Electrical Engineer (P.E.) Manager for river transportation operations in western Kentucky. If you have experience with electrical systems on boats, vessels, or maritime facilities, and a passion for ensuring the reliability and safety of critical systems, we want to hear from you! Qualifications:
- Current P.E. + NFPA70 and NFPA70E (or ability to obtain shortly after employment)
- 3+ years experience with maritime vessels & facilities
- Previous design and leadership experience
- Electrical engineering degree
- Physical abilities: work in extreme weather, walk on uneven surfaces, lift, climb, bend, twist, work in confined spaces, maneuver hazardous areas, etc.
- Ability to travel to sister facilities and be on call 24/7
Responsibilities:
- Oversee Engineering department including electrical and controls needs, safety standards, maintaining documentation, vendor relations
- Remain up to date on new technologies
- Manage staff, training engineers and reviewing repairs and installs
- Source parts for repairs and upgrades
- Maintain communication as to progress of ongoing projects/work
