Structural Engineering Manager Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
• Professional Engineer (PE)
• Demonstrated ability to sign and stamp individual work as well as review and stamp the work of other structural engineers or EITs
• Minimum 5 years in the design and detailing of structures –steel, concrete, masonry, and wood
• Proficient with structural design software such as RAM, RISA, Enercalc, or similar programs
• Experience mentoring/training structural EITs
• Solid project management experience and proficient with MS Office Suite
• Valid driver’s license and have your own US work authorization

Structural Engineering Manager Responsibilities:

• Provide structural design, detailing, and calculations as required for all phases of the design of new buildings and structures as well renovation projects
• Interface closely with clients and other project team members effectively
• Write and edit structural specifications
• Perform structural investigations and feasibility studies, including providing cost estimates when required
• Direct BIM Modelers as required to complete structural drawings
• Review of shop drawings, responding to contractor RFIs and construction questions, construction site visits, etc.
• Perform site visits as required to verify existing conditions, dimensions, elevations, etc.
• Assist project managers in the development of internal design budgets and schedules as required
