The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) ensures product quality by collaborating with suppliers and implementing process controls. This role involves tracking data, identifying improvement opportunities, and managing projects to enhance product performance and supplier capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Purchasing to monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct supplier audits to drive process standardization and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor key supply chain KPIs and lead strategic supplier improvement projects.
  • Ensure supplier compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Coordinate timely resolution of technical issues with suppliers.
  • Cultivate long-term supplier relationships and drive cost reduction initiatives.
  • Support evaluation and qualification of new supplier materials.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education/experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in distribution/supply chain, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in quality systems methodologies.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Advanced problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable with multitasking and handling changes.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (40-50%).
