Executive Chef – Premier Hotel Opening | New York City, NY

Join the opening leadership team of a new, luxury hotel in New York City. We’re seeking an accomplished Executive Chef to lead the culinary vision and execution across multiple dining outlets, including the signature restaurant, banquets, and in-room dining.

This is a rare opportunity to help build and shape a culinary program from the ground up — ideal for a creative, strategic, and hands-on leader eager to make a lasting mark in New York’s competitive hospitality scene.


Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee all kitchen operations across restaurant, banquet, and in-room dining programs.
  • Lead and mentor a talented culinary team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Develop and execute menus that highlight quality ingredients, modern techniques, and elevated presentation.
  • Manage food and labor costs, maintain strong financial controls, and ensure optimal efficiency.
  • Partner closely with hotel leadership to deliver a seamless, high-caliber guest experience.
  • Uphold the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and operational consistency.
  • Drive continuous improvement, menu evolution, and training initiatives aligned with the property’s brand vision.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive culinary leadership, including experience as an Executive Chef in a luxury hotel or high-volume, upscale restaurant.
  • Proven expertise in leading large teams and multi-outlet operations.
  • Strong background in menu development, kitchen management, and P&L performance.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Passion for hospitality, creativity, and delivering memorable guest experiences.
  • Previous hotel opening or pre-opening experience highly preferred.
