Kitchen Manager Requirements & Qualifications

  • 2–5+ years of kitchen leadership experience in a high-volume or banquet environment
  • Background in production cooking or fixed-menu service
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards (ServSafe Certification or equivalent)
  • Proven ability to manage large kitchen teams and fast-paced service windows

Kitchen Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Supervise and schedule kitchen staff to support multiple nightly shows
  • Coordinate food production to align with performance timing and precise service cues
  • Maintain high standards in food quality, portion control, and plate presentation
  • Oversee inventory management, ordering, and food cost controls
  • Ensure full compliance with health, sanitation, and safety regulations
  • Train and coach back-of-house team members and leads
  • Collaborate with operations and show management to optimize the guest dining experience
