Litigation Attorney – Property Damage

Litigation Attorney Requirements & Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active member of the Texas Bar, in good standing.
- 2+ years of litigation experience; first-party property experience strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong negotiation and client advocacy skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and team-focused.
Litigation Attorney Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of first-party homeowner property insurance claims from start to finish.
- Conduct detailed legal research and case analysis.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents.
- Take and defend depositions of insureds, adjusters, experts, and corporate representatives.
- Negotiate settlements and participate in mediations or arbitrations.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, including trials and hearings.
- Communicate consistently with clients, providing clear updates and strategy explanations.
- Collaborate with paralegals, assistants, and fellow attorneys to ensure top-quality representation.
- Stay informed of evolving Texas insurance law and property damage trends.
