Our client is seeking a highly qualified Director of Banquets for their high-end boutique property in Omaha, NE. This unique opening offers endless opportunities for growth in a collaborative and rewarding work environment. The ideal candidate has recent and significant experience as a Banquet Department leader at an upscale branded hotel and a passion for leading teams while effectively demonstrating high integrity at all times.

Director of Banquets Perks:

Director of Banquets Responsibilities:

Oversee and coordinate all banquet team activities including setting big-picture and incremental goals
Develop marketing, sales, and promotional strategies to grow the business and overall profitability including sales of meeting rooms and private dining events
Work with the culinary team to provide exceptional cuisine in a proficient and memorable manner while consistently meeting or exceeding financial goals
Manage the division in order to attract, retain and motivate employees including hiring, training, developing, and correcting
Manage the maintenance/sanitation of the food and beverage areas and equipment in the hotel to protect the asset, comply with regulations and ensure quality service
Manage the division's annual budget, forecasts, and objectives to meet/exceed management expectations

Director of Banquets Qualifications:

5+ years of recent Director of Banquets experience at a full-service hotel, required
Management experience in a Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham or Hyatt property, preferred
Must have some culinary training and/or experience in a fine dining establishment
Bachelor's degree, preferred
Proven ability to lead, inspire and motivate a large and diverse team including management-level direct reports
Ability and desire to work a flexible schedule, as the business requires
