Our client is seeking a Product Design Engineer for our CPG client in the Cranston-Warwick area. This is an exceptional opportunity to work for a stable company that has a diverse product line and customer base, supporting retailers in the Mass, Home Improvement, Dollar and Hardware channels.

Job Description

The Product Design Engineer is a key cog in both the new and existing product development and improvement efforts of the company.

Product Design Engineer Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Product Engineering, Marketing, Sales and Manufacturing
  • Design products and packaging with customer, quality, performance, retail space, manufacturability and cost in mind
  • Create and release product and packaging specifications and updates
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities

Product Design Engineer Qualifications

  • Proficient in Solidworks
  • Proficient in SAP or equivalent ERP systems
  • 2+ years Product and Packaging Design and Specification experience in consumer goods
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, metals and plastics
  • BS in Engineering or related discipline
