Senior Estimator Key Responsibilities

Lead estimates for commercial construction projects ranging from $500K to $5M
Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and self-performed scopes (e.g., carpentry, drywall)
Manage hard bid, negotiated, and design/build proposals
Generate schematic estimates and support value engineering initiatives
Analyze subcontractor scopes, conduct buyouts, and present to stakeholders
Partner cross-functionally to align estimating with project delivery goals

Senior Estimator Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering
10+ years of post-degree experience in estimating for commercial GCs
Proficiency in estimating software and AI-enhanced tools
Strong communication, leadership, and analytical abilities
Community-minded with a commitment to quality and collaboration
