A well-established, high-volume restaurant group is hiring a Director of Construction to lead the execution of ground-up builds and major remodels across its growing portfolio.

This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in the details. If your recent experience is centered on managing large teams, overseeing portfolios, or delegating execution, this will not be the right fit. This role is built for a construction leader who still reads plans, understands MEP systems, and takes personal ownership of the work.

What You’ll Be Doing

Own restaurant construction projects from post–site selection through opening
Personally review architectural and MEP plans and catch issues before they become field problems
Lead ground-up restaurant builds and major remodels in the $10M+ range
Coordinate closely with architects, engineers, kitchen designers, contractors, and internal teams
Navigate permitting and inspections with local jurisdictions
Be present in the field, solve problems, and ensure execution quality in a lean team environment

Who This Role Is For

A construction professional with direct full-service restaurant build experience
Someone who enjoys being hands-on and accountable, not removed from execution
A Senior Project Manager or Construction Manager ready to step into a Director-level role
A leader looking for a long-term home (10–15 years) rather than a short stop

Candidates focused on real estate development or site selection
Retail-only or hotel-only construction backgrounds
Portfolio-level leaders who have been delegating execution for years

Compensation

Base salary: $160,000–$180,000, depending on experience
