Leasing & Property Manager Requirements & Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in a property management and leasing role in NYC
  • Prior experience overseeing residential and commercial properties, including leasing, operations, and vendor relations
  • In-depth understanding of property management systems and “best practices”
  • Experience managing staff and building strong relationships with tenants, vendors, and contractors
  • Willingness to perform occasional property inspections and be accessible for emergency operations as needed

Leasing & Property Manager Preferred Background & Skills

  • NYC Real estate license (per state requirements) strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and local property regulations
  • Ability to work both independently and in coordination with cross-functional teams

Leasing & Property Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations and leasing activities for residential properties throughout the East Coast region
  • Conduct property showings, lease agreements, renewals, and support marketing initiatives to maximize occupancy
  • Respond promptly to resident inquiries and oversee timely completion of maintenance requests
  • Inspect properties, oversee move-in/move-out processes, and ensure units are market-ready
  • Maintain accurate records, generate reports on leasing activity, rent collections, and building operations
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement marketing and leasing strategies
  • Monitor work orders, assign tasks, and ensure tenant satisfaction
  • Support budget development, take part in property inspections, and serve on project boards as needed
