General Manager Requirements & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in hotel or resort management, with a track record of excellence in guest service
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for engaging with clients
  • Creative thinker with the ability to solve problems and think outside the box
  • Experience in mentoring and developing a diverse team
  • Financial acumen and experience managing budgets and operational costs

General Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the resort, ensuring high standards of service and guest satisfaction
  • Cultivate relationships with guests, actively seeking feedback and resolving issues to enhance their experience
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions to enhance guest experiences and operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with ownership and department heads to set and achieve short-term and long-term goals
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to ensure the resort operates within its financial plans
