Experienced Plumbing Designer Requirements & Qualifications:

• 8+ years of plumbing design experience within consulting engineering
• Ability to independently develop design approaches and execute detailed plumbing design
• Strong verbal, written, and graphical communication skills
• Demonstrated project management experience
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong work ethic
• Solid working knowledge of Building, Plumbing, Fire, Energy Conservation, and Fuel Gas codes
• Proficiency with NFPA standards and other industry regulations
• Experience using AutoCAD, Revit, and related design software
• Commitment to teamwork, including guiding and mentoring junior designers/engineers
• Willingness to travel locally and within the state for field investigations, client coordination, and site-related needs

Experienced Plumbing Designer – Responsibilities:

• Lead plumbing design efforts across multiple active projects
• Prepare plumbing system layouts, equipment selection, and specifications
• Develop cost estimates and coordinate with internal teams and external consultants
• Participate in client meetings and maintain strong working relationships
• Conduct on-site field investigations to verify existing conditions and design requirements
• Manage workload effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Experienced Plumbing Designer Preferred Background & Skills:

• Experience working on projects for government, educational, industrial, or healthcare clients
• Proven success building long-term client relationships
• Familiarity with multidisciplinary MEP coordination
• Strong interest in long-term career growth, leadership development, and continuous learning
