An established and nationally recognized agricultural company is seeking a Vice President of Human Resources to lead all HR functions across a large, multi-state farming operation. This role oversees a diverse workforce that includes a significant seasonal population supported through an internally managed H-2A visa program.

This is a hands-on leadership role based in Yerington, Nevada, offering relocation assistance and the opportunity to make a lasting impact on a respected, family-oriented organization.

Vice President of Human Resources Benefits and Compensation:

  • Base salary range of $160,000 – $200,000, commensurate with experience
  • Comprehensive relocation assistance to Yerington, NV

Vice President of Human Resources Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (required)
  • Advanced degree (JD, MBA, or equivalent) or HR certification (SHRM-SCP, SPHR, etc.) preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience, including multi-state operations
  • Proven success overseeing HR functions such as compliance, employee relations, and workforce planning
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with senior leadership to align HR strategy with business objectives

Vice President of Human Resources Must Haves:

  • Extensive, hands-on experience self-administering an H-2A visa program — not through an external vendor
  • Expert knowledge of California and Nevada labor laws and compliance practices
  • Proven track record leading HR teams within large-scale seasonal or agricultural environments
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Must be willing to relocate and work on-site in Yerington, Nevada

Vice President of Human Resources Preferred Background & Skills:

  • Experience in agriculture, food production, or large-scale seasonal workforce management
  • Deep understanding of federal and state employment compliance requirements
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred but not required)
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives
  • Collaborative leadership style with a focus on developing people and driving operational excellence
