Construction Site Safety Manager/Trainer – Kings Bay, GA
Join a leading federal contractor as a Construction Site Safety Manager/Trainer, where you will play a vital role in overseeing safety and training programs on large-scale construction projects valued at $35M and above. This full-time position offers the opportunity to foster a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance with EM-385, OSHA, and project-specific safety requirements.
Construction Site Safety Manager/Trainer Benefits and Compensation:
- Competitive salary: $90,000 – $125,000 annually
- Vehicle/cell phone allowance: $173 weekly
- Comprehensive benefits package including health, vision, and dental insurance
- 401(k) plan with a 3% match
- 2 weeks paid vacation and 7 days sick leave
- Relocation assistance available for candidates
- Monthly travel home for those on per diem
Construction Site Safety Manager/Trainer Requirements & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of safety management experience in commercial or federal construction
- Competent Person training in Fall Protection, Confined Space, Electrical Safety, Trenching/Excavation, PPE, and Scaffolding
- Current OSHA 30-hour, CPR, and First Aid certifications (within the past 5 years)
- Professional certifications such as CHST, OHST, ASP, or similar are highly preferred
- Must be able to pass a background check and obtain a military base security clearance
- Experience managing safety on projects valued at $35M or more, specifically in DoD environments
Construction Site Safety Manager/Trainer Preferred Background & Skills:
- Experience with federal contractors or major AEC firms
- Strong leadership presence with a focus on mentorship and collaboration
- Ability to effectively communicate and manage client expectations
- Familiarity with safety regulations and the ability to apply them in practical situations
- A commitment to fostering a positive safety culture and team-oriented environment
- Previous experience with NAVFAC or USACE clients is a plus
