Our client is a fast-growing, PE-backed early education company that has expanded to 5 schools in just two years, with plans to double that in the next 12 months. Their mission is to deliver joyful, high-quality learning experiences to children aged 6 weeks to 6 years.

This founder-led, mission-driven startup is scaling rapidly through acquisition and is now hiring its first in-house Marketing Manager to replace their agency. This full-stack role will own everything from paid media and SEO to creative direction and reporting across multiple school locations.

You will partner directly with the founding team to:

  • Drive enrollment through local campaign execution
  • Build and unify the company’s brand identity
  • Develop data-driven marketing systems that scale

This role is ideal for someone excited to take full ownership, build from the ground up, and help shape the future of a company in rapid growth mode.

Marketing Manager Benefits

  • Base Salary: $100,000–$150,000, depending on experience
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401K
  • Generous PTO policy
  • Beautiful office near Grand Central Station in Manhattan
  • 4 days/week in-office (1 day remote optional)

Marketing Manager Requirements

Must-Haves:

  • 3–7+ years of experience in digital marketing with a focus on performance-based media (Meta, Google)
  • Proven ability to manage multi-site campaigns (e.g., franchise, healthcare, education, or service orgs)
  • Experience with SEO fundamentals and improving local web visibility
  • Ability to guide creative direction (assets will be produced externally)
  • Highly proactive self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and startup environments
  • Strong analytical mindset; uses data to drive iteration and strategy
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working onsite 4 days/week in NYC

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience in early childhood education, multi-site healthcare, or pet care
  • Exposure to businesses growing through acquisition
  • Background working with founders or executive teams in lean orgs
  • Track record of evolving into leadership roles

Deal Breakers:

  • Needs high oversight
  • Discomfort with fast-paced, ambiguous environments
  • Resistance to in-office schedule or startup-style flexibility
  • Doesn’t take ownership of results or projects

Marketing Manager Responsibilities

  • Own the full marketing function, replacing external agency resources
  • Strategize, launch, and manage paid digital campaigns (Meta, Google) for each location
  • Develop and manage monthly marketing reports (performance, trends, recommendations)
  • Approve and direct creative asset production in partnership with offshore and freelance designers
  • Build seasonal campaign calendars tied to enrollment goals (e.g., Back to School, Holidays, Summer)
  • Shape brand identity and messaging to connect with parents and local communities
  • Oversee SEO efforts, optimize web presence and local listings
  • Identify and test new offline and local marketing tactics (events, open houses)
  • Lay groundwork for future team buildout as company scales
  • Collaborate closely with co-founders on marketing priorities, budgets, and strategic direction

This is a rare opportunity to take full ownership of marketing at a mission-driven company and help shape the voice and growth of a brand impacting thousands of children and families.
