A respected hospitality group is seeking a seasoned Director of Events to oversee the operations, guest experience, and team development at a premier event venue. This is an opportunity to shape an energetic team and deliver memorable client experiences in a dynamic, people-focused environment.

Director of Events Benefits & Compensation

$110,000–$125,000 annual salary plus bonus and gratuity

Director of Events Requirements & Qualifications

5+ years of event planning, execution, and management experience within hospitality, including weddings
4+ years of team management overseeing event and banquet managers
Experienced collaborating with sales and culinary leadership
Proven ability to anticipate client needs and manage guest recovery
Must be available nights, weekends, and holidays to support events
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, project management tools (Teamwork, Canva, Tripleseat), and G Suite

Director of Events Preferred Background & Skills

Knowledge and appreciation of wine
Experience creating and maintaining vendor relationships

Director of Events Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of event execution to exceed company standards
Lead, coach, and develop both salaried and hourly event staff, including recruiting and training
Manage labor costs and scheduling to meet budget targets
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients from booking through event completion, ensuring clear and timely communication
Coordinate setup and breakdown with facilities and culinary partners to guarantee seamless event delivery
Lead weekly meetings to align on event details, logistics, and client expectations
