Occupational Therapist Requirements & Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy with a valid Massachusetts OT license
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Comfort with home and community-based visits
  • Open-mindedness, cultural competence, and the ability to partner effectively with diverse families
  • Strong professionalism and organizational skills
  • Experience in early intervention or working with children birth to age three
  • Bilingual skills are a plus

Occupational Therapist Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Provide direct care and manage a caseload of infants and toddlers, implementing Individual Family Service Plans
  • Conduct home and community-based developmental evaluations using assessment tools
  • Collaborate with families and caregivers to address identified priorities
  • Facilitate small group sessions to support social-emotional development and provide parent education
  • Work as an integrated member of a transdisciplinary team to support positive outcomes for children and families
