We are seeking a full-time, on-site Litigation Paralegal to support active civil litigation matters. As our litigation paralegal, you will work closely with our attorneys. You will be trained in our methodology and strategies. You will be shown our proprietary checklists, which are integrated, interactive project management tools we have designed for plaintiff’s civil litigation. Using these tools, you will help keep cases on track and keep the attorneys on their toes. Your job will involve creating draft filings, interacting closely with our clients, and joining us in proceedings. This is a rare opportunity to join a growing team with an amazing culture!
Paralegal Qualifications:
- Prior plaintiff's personal injury litigation paralegal experience preferred
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of litigation procedures, court rules, and legal terminology
- Paralegal certification or a relevant degree is a plus
Paralegal Responsibilities:
- Draft pleadings, discovery requests and responses, and litigation correspondence using firm templates
- Maintain strict knowledge of key dates in each case, along with logistically ensuring success with each date
- Management of our star cases by closely following the steps and rules of our trial checklists
- Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
- Support attorneys through all phases of litigation, including trial preparation
- Your workflows and best practices are likely different than what you will find in other firms. In essence, you will be the foot soldier who works side by side with the attorneys in preparing for battle to ultimately win, to get the justice our clients deserve.
