Attorney Requirements & Qualifications

Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Active member of a state bar association
Minimum 1 year experience representing clients in a law firm
Proven ability to manage a heavy caseload with minimal supervision
Strong research, writing, and communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office

Attorney Preferred Background & Skills

At least 2 years representing clients preferred
Leadership experience overseeing staff or case managers
Experience handling personal injury cases

Attorney Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Provide legal counsel to clients, determining proper courses of action
Represent clients in court, including motions, discovery, and trial as needed
Oversee and guide paralegals, law clerks, and administrative staff
Conduct legal research, draft briefs, pleadings, and motions
Manage all aspects of personal injury cases from intake through settlement
Evaluate case value and strategy based on liability, damages, and insurance coverage
Review medical records, draft demand letters, and negotiate settlements
Communicate compassionately and consistently with clients
Ensure accurate case documentation and uphold firm standards
