The Quality Engineer drives product and process excellence through technical expertise, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration. The role ensures ISO 9001 compliance, continuous improvement, and alignment with the company’s core values, supporting manufacturing quality, supplier performance, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems for production and finished goods.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions using 8D, 5-Why, and Fishbone methods.
- Support production and engineering teams by analyzing process capabilities and driving improvements.
- Manage supplier quality issues, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective actions (CARs).
- Track and analyze quality metrics to identify trends and recommend preventive actions.
- Develop and update inspection plans, SOPs, and quality documentation in line with ISO 9001 standards.
- Conduct and support internal and external quality audits.
- Train production staff on inspection techniques, quality standards, and compliance.
- Ensure product compliance with specifications, drawings, and customer requirements.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement aligned with company values of Safety, Quality, Integrity, and Teamwork.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
- 3–5 years of quality engineering experience in manufacturing, metal fabrication, or power generation equipment.
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001 quality management systems and auditing processes.
- Proficient in root cause analysis, corrective action, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Skilled in blueprint reading, mechanical inspection, and the use of precision measurement tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD experience a plus.
- Knowledge of welding, sheet metal, and electrical systems preferred.
- Must adhere to OSHA safety standards and work effectively in an industrial manufacturing environment.
