Bring your leadership and technical expertise to a growing Northern California community that’s investing in its future. We’re looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join the Public Works – Engineering Division and take charge of projects that improve city's infrastructure — from stormwater and wastewater systems to development plan reviews and capital improvements.
You’ll lead and mentor a talented engineering team, oversee consultants, and manage major projects from design to construction — ensuring they’re delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards of public safety and quality.
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering (or related)
- 5+ years of civil engineering experience, including 1+ year in a lead/supervisory role
- Strong background in stormwater, wastewater, plan review, or construction management
- Active California PE license and valid driver’s license
- Local residency in Chico, CA (or intent to relocate)
