Our client, is a long-established, growth-minded public accounting firm that recently joined forces with a local Birmingham based private equity firm, but with a refreshing twist. We are looking for a CPA, the join a growing firm, building something intentional and sustainable, prioritizing people over pure profit with a long-term vision of shared success

 

Responsibilities:

-Serve as the final reviewer and lead tax strategist on client engagements

-Mentor and develop junior staff while optimizing internal workflow

-Partner with two senior CPAs focused on client growth and strategic value

-Work directly with the firm’s Managing Director to modernize systems and create operational excellence

-Step into a leadership role with a clear succession path to partner, taking over a retiring book of business and expanding your own

 

Qualifications

-Active CPA license (required)

-8–10+ years of recent public accounting experience, primarily in tax

-Experience managing tax staff, reviewing complex returns, and supporting clients year-round

-A leadership mindset and a desire to step into a strategic, people-oriented role

-Familiarity with ProConnect and/or TaxDome is helpful but not required
