Our client, an acclaimed upscale dinner-only restaurant, is seeking a talented and motivated Sous Chef to join their dynamic culinary team. About the Client
Located in a vibrant dining destination, our client’s restaurant is known for its elevated cuisine, refined ambiance, and commitment to culinary excellence. With service limited to five dinner-only shifts per week and Sundays and Mondays off, this role offers rare work-life balance in a high-caliber kitchen setting.
Position Overview
The Sous Chef will support the Executive Chef in leading kitchen operations, maintaining culinary standards, and mentoring staff. Ideal candidates will bring creativity, discipline, and a team-first attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in leading the kitchen team during service and prep
- Maintain consistency and excellence in food execution and presentation
- Support training, scheduling, and development of back-of-house staff
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
- Step into leadership roles as needed in the Chef de Cuisine’s absence
Candidate Profile:
- 3–5 years of experience in upscale kitchens
- Strong technical skills and attention to detail
- Proven ability to motivate and mentor culinary teams
- Committed to quality, consistency, and professionalism
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
