This position is located in Landrum, SC.
We are a local destination full-service restaurant that also offers off-site catering. Our entire team strives to deliver exceptional experiences, wherever we are! We are looking to add a Sous Chef to our team, as our business continues to grow.
You are an excellent chef candidate if you have led a culinary team in a high-volume scratch kitchen environment, and you have off-site catering experience. Sous Chef Responsibilities:
- Lead a team in a fast-paced scratch kitchen environment
- Manage inventory and ordering
- Collaborate with Executive Chef in the development and support of both restaurant and catering culinary teams
- Plan and prepare catering menus for events, support catering team in execution
Sous Chef Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a culinary leadership position within a restaurant that has a scratch kitchen
- Strong organizational skills and driven by consistent and high level execution
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Have held no more than 2 jobs in the last 5 years
- Experience managing a team in a restaurant that has sales of $3MM or more
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Lead by example in the day-to-day operations of the prep kitchen, and with the restaurant and catering culinary teams
