We are looking for a motivated and experienced Deputy Building Official to assist in overseeing building operations, emphasizing superior customer service and a dedication to quality.

Key Qualifications:
- Valid Florida Building Code Administrator License
- FL Standard Plan Review and Inspection Licenses in Building
- Certified General Contractor license recognized by Broward County’s Board of Rules & Appeals
- Minimum of five years relevant experience in building code enforcement and team leadership within municipal or third-party agencies
- Hands-on experience conducting plan reviews (both residential and commercial), inspections, and ensuring adherence to applicable codes
- Excellent interpersonal skills for client interaction, stakeholder engagement, and attending public meetings
- Proven ability to lead departmental teams and manage daily operational activities
Ideal Skills & Experience:
- Effective communicator both verbally and in writing, demonstrating integrity and leadership
- Familiarity with permitting and inspection software, plus proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
