Assistant General Manager Salary & Benefits

Assistant General Manager Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Restaurant Manager or Assistant General Manager within fast-casual, high-service concepts
  • Demonstrated success in building, leading, and retaining high-performing teams
  • Strong financial acumen with expertise in labor, inventory, and cost management
  • People-centered leadership style with excellent emotional intelligence
  • A track record of operational excellence and fostering a hospitality-first environment
  • Humble, driven, and guest-focused approach to leadership and service

Assistant General Manager Responsibilities

  • Support the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations and team leadership
  • Ensure exceptional guest experiences through operational consistency and warm, attentive service
  • Hire, train, and develop team members, cultivating a positive, collaborative culture
  • Manage financial performance, including labor scheduling, inventory control, and cost management
  • Lead by example with a hands-on leadership style and a commitment to hospitality-driven service
  • Champion the brand’s values, community initiatives, and guest-centric mission in every shift
