We are seeking an experienced multi-unit leader to fill a Director of Dining Services for a historic and premier college in central Pennsylvania. This role will oversee multiple dining locations and catering operations for their campus. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Director of Dining Services Responsibilities:

  • Leads all dining service operations, meal plan development, and catering
  • Inspects and evaluates on-site food preparation, sanitation, merchandising, and service standards
  • Modernize food production, food options, and service techniques to exceed the expectations of our students and guests
  • Maintains pricing and portion standards, cost management, and adheres to department budget
  • Maintains training programs, including ongoing education and development training for employees
  • Works collaboratively with student stakeholders to implement feedback systems and create new programs that positively impact the student experience
  • Work with various other departments to maintain the facility and the equipment
  • Oversees catering operations and execution of special events for various departments and to showcase the college

Director of Dining Services Requirements:

  • ServSafe and/or food handler certification
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in extensive general management in a large volume, multi-unit food service organization in the multi-million-dollar range, including operational and financial expertise
  • Prior experience with major renovation projects preferred
  • Experience with higher education food service is preferred
