Position Overview
We are hiring a motivated and hands-on Field Service Technician to support our growing Industrial Furnace Division. This full-time role offers excellent benefits, a company-provided service vehicle, and opportunities for career advancement, based in the Dayton, OH, metro area.
Preferred Background & Skills
- Start up, test, and debug control panels.
- Wire machinery, run conduit, and assemble control panels.
- Provide technical guidance to internal production teams.
- Travel to customer sites for installations, troubleshooting, and service calls (5–8 days per month).
- Assist with electrical and mechanical issues at company facilities.
Requirments & Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Electrical, Controls, or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent hands-on experience).
- Minimum 8+ years of experience with control panel design, assembly, and electrical wiring.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in PLC systems, relay logic, and industrial equipment.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Experience with 240/480V single and 3-phase circuits.
- Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and valves.
- Combustion system experience (preferred, but not required).
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for service calls.
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
