David is an accomplished human resources leader with extensive experience across the energy, electronics, and automotive industries. He began his career with Shell Oil at the Wood River, Illinois, refinery and the Shell Information Center in Houston before advancing to HR Manager at the company’s chemical plant in Point Pleasant, West Virginia. He later joined Phillips Electronics, supporting recruitment for the startup of a new plant in Gómez Palacio, Mexico. David spent most of his career at Nissan North America, holding a series of human resources roles primarily at the company’s Technical Center in Farmington Hills, Michigan. He helped scale engineering talent across Body Systems, Electrical Navigation and Infotainment, Safety, Powertrain, and Software Engineering, while building a robust internship and co-op program to strengthen the organization’s future talent pipeline.
Beyond his corporate responsibilities, David maintained a strong commitment to professional and community engagement. He worked with the National Society of Hispanic Engineers, the National Society of Black Engineers, the National Society of Women Engineers, Formula SAE, and FIRST Robotics. He also supported local food pantries, including Forgotten Harvest and CARES of Farmington Hills.
In 2026, David joined Goodwin Recruiting as a Recruiting Partner, applying decades of human resources experience to connect organizations with exceptional talent.
