About the Opportunity

A fast-growing e-commerce SaaS company is seeking a driven Business Development Representative to support revenue growth and expand relationships with leading online brands. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in a startup environment, enjoys outbound sales, and wants hands-on exposure to the full sales cycle in a tech-enabled business.

This role is ideal for a motivated, NYC-based sales professional eager to build a strong foundation in SaaS sales while contributing directly to pipeline growth and customer acquisition.

What You’ll Do

  • Prospect and qualify inbound and outbound leads across e-commerce and DTC brands
  • Conduct discovery calls to understand customer needs and identify opportunities
  • Generate and nurture sales pipeline through email, LinkedIn, and outbound outreach
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to refine messaging and targeting
  • Track activity and performance using CRM tools and sales analytics
  • Support handoffs to Account Executives and assist in deal progression
  • Continuously test and refine outreach strategies to improve conversion rates

What We’re Looking For

  • 1–3 years of experience in sales, business development, or customer-facing roles
  • Strong communication skills with confidence speaking to founders and marketing leaders
  • Comfortable with outbound prospecting and consultative conversations
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple leads and priorities
  • Curious, coachable, and motivated by performance-based growth
  • Interest in SaaS, e-commerce, and digital marketing technology

Preferred Background

  • Experience selling SaaS or marketing technology solutions
  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (Shopify, DTC brands, digital tools)
  • Prior experience working in a startup or high-growth environment

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $65,000–$75,000
  • On-target earnings (OTE): ~$80,000
  • Performance-based incentives
  • Hybrid work model (NYC metro required)
  • Opportunity for growth into closing roles as the company scales
