We’re looking for an experienced and strategic Senior Director of Facilities to lead facilities operations, oversee development projects, and ensure the long-term integrity and performance of a nationwide restaurant portfolio. The ideal candidate is a decisive operator with deep multi-unit hospitality experience, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to guide high-performing regional teams while driving proactive maintenance, capital planning, and operational excellence.

Senior Director of Facilities Responsibilities:

Strategic Facilities Leadership

    • Build and execute a scalable facilities strategy aligned with long-term growth initiatives
    • Lead site development from design to construction to opening
    • Drive capital improvement programs and preventive maintenance initiatives
    • Analyze maintenance trends and create proactive solutions that minimize downtime

Operational Oversight & Technical Management

    • Manage day-to-day operations of regional Facilities Managers, Coordinators, and Technicians
    • Oversee all FF&E and building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment
    • Plan and execute capital projects, rollouts, and unit upgrades
    • Manage R&M and capital budgets with a focus on accuracy and cost optimization
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and service providers
    • Ensure compliance with all safety, licensing, and regulatory standards

Facilities Systems, Reporting & Administration

    • Oversee CMMS performance (e.g., ServiceChannel), ensuring accurate work order tracking, asset management, and vendor compliance
    • Maintain warranties, lease obligations, and preventive maintenance schedules
    • Deliver clear reports on R&M performance, capital spending, compliance status, and operational trends
    • Support ongoing training of internal teams and cross-functional partners on processes and systems

Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Serve as a key partner to Operations, Development, and Finance to coordinate remodels, upgrades, and new openings
    • Act as the primary point of contact with landlords, property managers, and third-party vendors
    • Promote a culture of operational excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement

Senior Director of Facilities Requirements:

  • 7+ years of progressive facilities leadership experience in multi-unit restaurants or hospitality
  • Experience supporting 50+ locations in a high-growth environment
  • Strong expertise in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems, and FF&E
  • Proven experience managing large R&M and capital budgets
  • Strong vendor management and contract negotiation skills
  • High proficiency with CMMS platforms (ServiceChannel a plus)
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to travel to locations nationwide as needed
