Overview
A leading manufacturer in the fluid systems and filtration space is seeking an Engineering Lab Technician to support testing, validation, and engineering development efforts in a state-of-the-art hydraulic test lab.
This is a hands-on, technical role ideal for someone who enjoys working with equipment, running tests, analyzing data, and supporting engineering teams in a structured, high-quality environment.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: $22–$24/hour (based on experience)
- Overtime eligible
- Medical, dental, vision insurance (competitive company contribution)
- 401(k) with 100% match on first 5%
- Additional 3% company retirement contribution
- 13 paid holidays + PTO
- Tuition reimbursement & career development
- Paid parental leave, disability coverage, and additional voluntary benefits
What You’ll Do
- Set up and run hydraulic and mechanical performance tests including pressure, flow, fatigue, and filtration testing
- Operate and maintain hydraulic test stands and lab equipment
- Analyze test data using Excel and generate detailed test reports
- Develop and follow test procedures and specifications
- Maintain lab equipment, calibration schedules, and overall lab organization
- Support engineers with validation, troubleshooting, and product testing
- Create and modify 3D CAD models and drawings (SolidWorks)
- Process Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and related documentation
What We’re Looking For
- Hands-on experience with mechanical or hydraulic systems
- Understanding of pressure, flow, pumps, valves, or fluid systems
- Experience working in a test lab, manufacturing, or engineering environment
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment and test setups
- Familiarity with measurement tools and instrumentation (pressure gauges, flow meters, etc.)
- Proficiency with Excel and technical documentation
- Experience with SolidWorks or 3D CAD is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of mechanical drawings / GD&T (ASME Y14.5) is a plus
What Makes This Role Different
This is not a production role. You will be working directly with engineering and testing equipment to evaluate product performance and reliability. Your work directly impacts product quality, validation, and development.
If you enjoy hands-on technical work, problem solving, and working in a lab environment, this is a strong opportunity to grow into a long-term engineering support career.
