Seeking an experienced Field Service Diesel Technician to perform mobile diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on diesel engines and heavy-duty trucks. This position involves working independently in the field, completing quality repairs, and ensuring equipment is serviced safely and efficiently. Local work only with no overnight travel.

Job Duties

• Perform field-based repairs and maintenance on diesel engines and heavy-duty trucks following manufacturer procedures

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical failures by disassembling, repairing, and reassembling components

• Identify repair needs and provide accurate recommendations

• Complete all digital repair documentation, service notes, and inspection forms

• Perform inspections on brake systems, steering components, suspensions, wheel ends, and safety-critical parts

• Troubleshoot A/C, hydraulic, after treatment, emission, and air systems

• Maintain safety standards and follow all company and industry protocols

• Work in various weather conditions when responding to roadside service needs

Work Experience & Qualifications

• 3+ years of diesel mechanic, diesel technician, or heavy truck repair experience

• Strong diagnostic ability across multiple systems (electrical, hydraulic, emission, after treatment, air systems)

• Experience using diagnostic software and laptop-based tools

• Ability to work independently and manage field service tasks

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

• Ability to work occasional on-call or irregular hours as needed
