General Manager Qualifications

3–5 years of restaurant General Manager experience
Strong background in hospitality and guest service
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams
Solid understanding of operations, financials, and KPIs
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Committed to maintaining professionalism, culture, and consistency

General Manager Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of daily restaurant operations
Lead the team to achieve financial, service, quality, and cleanliness goals
Deliver an exceptional guest experience every time
Hire, train, coach, and develop team members
Ensure compliance with policies, standards, and procedures
Resolve guest and operational issues quickly and effectively
Maintain accurate reporting and record-keeping
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and performance
Build strong relationships with team members and leadership
