Process Engineer – Chemical Manufacturing

📍 Chattanooga, TN area

We’re hiring a Process Engineer to support and improve chemical manufacturing operations at a well-established production site in the Chattanooga, TN area. This role is hands-on and plant-facing, focused on process optimization, troubleshooting, safety, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop, optimize, and monitor chemical manufacturing processes
  • Identify inefficiencies and lead process improvements to improve quality, yield, and cost
  • Support scale-ups, experimental runs, and new product introductions
  • Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis in collaboration with operations
  • Participate in HAZOPs, PHAs, MOCs, and safety reviews
  • Create process documentation, SOPs, and operating instructions
  • Support capital projects from design through startup

What We’re Looking For

  • BS in Chemical Engineering or related technical discipline
  • Experience in chemical or regulated manufacturing environments
  • Strong problem-solving, data analysis, and communication skills
  • Hands-on, plant-based mindset with a strong safety focus
