Junior Controller Benefits & Compensation

  • Base salary of $100,000–$110,000 (up to $120,000 for CPA)
  • 10% annual bonus

Junior Controller Requirements & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of accounting or finance experience within the hospitality industry
  • Detail-oriented, accurate, and impeccably organized
  • Strong problem-solving skills and reliable follow-through
  • Comfortable working hands-on in a collaborative, founder-led setting
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to partner with senior leadership
  • Eager to adapt within a fast-evolving, entrepreneurial organization

Junior Controller Preferred Background & Skills

  • Experience consolidating financials across multiple entities; international exposure strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with Sage is required
  • Prior audit experience is a strong advantage
  • CPA or CPA-track highly preferred
  • Background in multi-unit hospitality, start-up, or rapid-growth environments
  • Strong knowledge of financial statements and general ledger management

Junior Controller Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Manage daily cash reconciliation and reporting across entities
  • Prepare and maintain fixed asset schedules and monthly accruals, supporting the month-end close
  • Execute outgoing payments and perform vendor reconciliation
  • Perform complete balance sheet reconciliations for multiple, including international, entities
  • Consolidate financials and build reporting packages for P&L and balance sheet
  • Support audits and prepare necessary schedules
  • Help refine accounting processes and internal controls
  • Serve as a flexible, solutions-oriented partner, ready to assist wherever team needs arise
