Looking for a Mill Operations and Factory manager to join a well-established wood products manufacturer. The company has over 40 years of expertise in flooring, millwork, and custom panels. Mill Operations and Factory Manager Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations, bridging office and production for smooth workflow.
- Coordinate schedules, job tracking, and inventory management with the production team.
- Prepare accurate customer quotes and adjust pricing based on material costs.
- Handle bookkeeping, including A/P, A/R, and QuickBooks job costing.
- Manage HR functions—hiring, onboarding, compliance, and timekeeping.
- Ensure safety protocols and regulatory standards are met.
Mill Operations and Factory Manager Qualifications & Skills:
- Preferred (not required) background in millwork, woodworking, or remanufacturing.
- Proficiency in job costing, financial tracking, and QuickBooks (or similar).
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and people management skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work in both office and production environments.
- 3–5+ years in operations, estimating, or production management is a plus.
- Spanish fluency and ERP/inventory system experience are beneficial but not required.
