Oncology Veterinary Technician Qualifications
- Licensed and Registered Veterinary Technician
- Minimum 1-2 years of clinical experience; oncology experience preferred
- Knowledge of chemotherapy safety protocols is a plus
- Strong communication and organizational skills with a willingness to learn
- Compassionate and patient-focused
Oncology Veterinary Technician Responsibilities
- Assist with consultations and patient assessments
- Prepare and administer chemotherapeutic agents
- Monitor patients pre-, during, and post-treatment
- Perform catheter placements, blood draws, and other technical tasks
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records
- Provide emotional support and education to pet owners
Oncology Veterinary Technician Benefits
