Trial Attorney – Personal Injury Requirements & Qualifications

Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
Active Florida Bar membership in good standing.
Minimum 6 years of personal injury litigation experience.
Demonstrated courtroom experience, including motion practice.
Experience as first chair in multiple jury trials strongly preferred.
In-depth knowledge of Florida civil procedure and evidence.
Ability to independently manage a litigation docket.
Strong advocacy, negotiation, and case evaluation skills.

Trial Attorney – Personal Injury Preferred Background & Skills

Bilingual (English/Spanish).

Trial Attorney – Personal Injury Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Take ownership of cases post-filing, guiding them through all phases of litigation and trial.
Develop litigation strategies, assess risk and case value.
Conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
Draft and argue substantive motions, including dispositive and evidentiary matters.
Oversee written discovery and ensure thorough evidentiary development.
Prepare cases for mediation and trial, maximizing outcomes.
Serve as first chair at trial when required.
Negotiate with carriers and opposing counsel to achieve client goals.
Maintain clear, strategic communication with clients throughout litigation.
Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to efficiently manage deadlines and court requirements.
