We are seeking a hands-on, experienced 1st Shift Maintenance Tech Lead to oversee daily maintenance operations and ensure maximum equipment uptime in our manufacturing facility. This is a working leadership role requiring strong technical ability, initiative, and the ability to collaborate closely with Operations. 1st Shift Maintenance Tech Lead Responsibilities

  • Open the shop daily and ensure equipment readiness for production
  • Lead and prioritize first shift maintenance activities
  • Coordinate with Operations Manager on workforce planning and scheduling
  • Mentor and support maintenance team members
  • Maintain clear documentation and communication across departments
  • Program, set up, and operate laser cutting equipment
  • Program and maintain robotic welding systems
  • Maintain building systems, including HVAC, compressed air, lighting, and utilities
  • Develop and improve PM systems

1st Shift Maintenance Tech Lead Qualifications

  • 5+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience
  • Hands-on experience with laser cutting (Amada preferred)
  • Robotic welding programming experience (Yaskawa or similar)
  • MIG and TIG welding experience
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience developing preventive maintenance systems
  • ERP experience (EPICOR is a strong plus)
  • Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Spanish language skills a plus
