Hiring: Associate Attorney (Civil Defense Litigation) – California

I’m working with a well-established, national litigation firm that is continuing to grow its California practice and is actively hiring Associate Attorneys. The firm is also open to Senior Associate, Of Counsel, or Partner-level candidates, depending on experience, and is expanding rapidly in Mass Tort and Toxic Tort matters.

This is a strong opportunity for attorneys who want hands-on litigation experience, meaningful responsibility, and a clear path for long-term growth within a collaborative, well-supported environment.

What they’re looking for

Active California bar license
2+ years of civil litigation experience
Experience in areas such as Personal Injury, Mass Tort, Toxic Tort, Premises Liability, Product Liability, Construction Defect, or Labor & Employment
Ability to manage a busy caseload (up to approximately 20 matters)
Deposition experience (taking and defending)
Motion and discovery drafting experience
Court appearances; mediation and trial exposure are a plus
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently

Role highlights

Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and written discovery
Take and defend depositions
Attend hearings and client meetings
Participate in mediation and trial preparation
Mentorship and training provided by experienced partners

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $140,000–$190,000 +, depending on experience
Quarterly bonuses tied to billable hours
Hybrid or remote work options
